Have you ever tried dancing to relieve all the stress? If not, now is the time to do it!

Many of us are living our life under tremendous amounts of stress, so we all opt for a different way to unwind and relax.

To lower stress levels, some of us may plan a weekend getaway, read a good book, watch a movie or even go to the spa, but do you know that dance is also an option, and it offers more benefits than one might even imagine!

Dancing like any other physical activity releases happy hormones, endorphins, which not only reduce stress but also can make us to feel calm, happy and optimistic.

The endorphins also help in improving the quality of sleep, so if you are tired of your sleepless nights just start dancing and soon enough you will notice a positive difference.

Dance provides good physical exercise, but at the same time allows you to be creative, elevates your mood and promotes a sense of wellbeing.

Science has explained when the body feels good, the mind does, too.

Dancing relieves stress but it offers many other benefits as well:

  • It improves the condition of your heart and lungs,
  • it improves balance and builds your awareness in space,
  • it increases self-confidence
  • it improves mental health
  • it builds and strengthen muscles etc

Dancing if you are joining a dance class can improve your social life too, and it is a great way to meet new people, and new social bonds can reduce stress too.

If you want to dance to get energized, and stay focused at your work during the day, you should play some pick me up music and start dancing as soon as you wake up.

If your aim is to relax and calm down before you go to sleep, then you should do it at the end of the day and opt for slower, calmer dance music.

So do not wait, just make a playlist of a few dance songs and when you sense a need to unwind or get in a better mood, listen to your playlist, and get that body moving!
